Meaning of 17 x 18
In the description of a pump there are two values: 17 X 18 - The first number indicates the diameter of the piston - The second number indicates the lever spacing.
The 17 mm diameter is ideal for dual disc systems with calipers using 30mm or 32mm pistons.
The 18 mm spacing is recommended for track use, but also for road use.
To choose the best spacing , keep in mind that, for the same force exerted on the lever, the greater the spacing, the greater the force required for braking.
The lever is articulating, long version, black with a lightening slot for the passage of air (RST).
All pumps have a front register that allows you to adjust the distance of the lever from the handlebars as you like and with a very simple rotation.
